APQ Global (‘APQ’), the emerging markets investment specialist, announces today that it has created an International Advisory Council to assist in locating the best investment opportunities across the globe. The panel of advisors will contribute investment proposals from their own areas of geographical and sector expertise in order that APQ can be advised by leading regional specialists in Emerging Markets. Establishing the International Advisory Council follows the successful IPO of APQ Global on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange and subsequently the London Stock Exchange AIM in August 2016, raising £78 million.

Tania Rotherwick has been established as Chairwoman of APQ Global’s International Advisory Council. Tania spent 16 years in the City, the first 11 years as an equity derivative broker both in the London (Hoare Govett) and Paris (Meeschaert Rouselle, ODB), followed by five years with a Swedish derivative trading software firm (Orc Software), heading its UK operations. Most recently, Tania has played an active role in running the family estate in Oxfordshire, which includes focussing on the marketing and management of the commercial and residential property portfolio
Wesley Davis has over two decades experience in credit trading and private equity investing in emerging markets. As part of his newly established advisory role, Wesley will assist the Company with managing its exposure in Africa and the CIS.
Sait Erda’s investment career spans research, advisory and principal investing in emerging markets with a focus on Central Europe, Turkey and the Middle East.
Over the past few years Stefano Marani has executed a large number of benchmark structured finance transactions in Africa. Stefano will assist the Company with managing its exposure in Africa.
Mazen Nomura, a Jordanian-Japanese national, has 20 years of experience in global emerging markets and has been an active venture capital and angel investor in the Middle East. Mazen will assist the Company in his advisory capacity with managing its exposure in the CIS and the Middle East.
Bart Turtleboom is Chairman of APQ Global Limited. He started his career at the International Monetary Fund where he published extensively on international monetary policy, including groundbreaking research on interest rate liberalization in Africa and the interaction between tax collection and monetary policy in Brazil. Bart joined Deutsche Bank’s emerging market group in January 1998 and subsequently worked on benchmarket transactions in Argentina, the Philippines and Russia.
